Building the shop

Well, one of the reasons June was buisy for us is because we started building Shawn his shop. We've been excited to get going on it. It will be nice to have a better place for the four-wheelers to be stored and for Shawn to have his own shop space. Once we got the wood delivered we started working on it. We got the walls up in just a few days. The first day we tried hanging the trusses it was blowing and raining and so we only got about 3 hung. The next day we were able to put up the rest of the trusses. The roof ended up being a bit steeper than we had planned on and so shingling the shop was quite a PAIN! (atleast for Shawn, I took one step up there and froze. Thankfully Shawn's dad came to the rescue and got up on the roof to help Shawn finish. I can't believe that man. He is 79 years old and acts like he is 55 years old. What a great help he was! They had to tie ropes on them in case they fell, but thankfully nothing like that happened. Well, now we got it all enclosed, got the doors up, and we just got the siding delivered so now that will be next. Shawn moved some of his tools and stuff out there and the four-wheelers and man my garage is much bigger now! Hmm! Whatever will I do with that space now? The wheels are already turning with new ideas!

Swim lessons

Another year of swim lessons! The kids really did a great job this year learning to swim. Shawntae has always had a fear of swimming and has held herself back, but this year she did so good and improved a great deal. Keegan was excited to learn how to dive and he is a little fish. This was Brooklyn's 2nd year taking and she did great! Last year she just cried every day, but this year she was so big and learned how to swim. She even wanted to jump off the diving board every day. The one day she surprised me when she wanted to jump without the noodle. It's always fun to go and watch them learn new things, and thankfully Sandall's have a beautiful, shady backyard to enjoy watching!!
